Mighty Mustard Proudly Joins Farmer-Veteran Fellowship Fund

Mighty Mustard® cover crop seed, the all-natural alternative to chemical herbicides and pesticides, is proud to announce a partnership with the Farmer-Veteran Coalition’s Fellowship Fund.

The Farmer-Veteran Coalition (FVC) is a national, non-profit organization that connects military veterans with opportunities for employment, training, and places to heal on America’s farms. They were recently featured in the New York Times and awarded a grant from the Bob Woodruff Foundation.

“The good folks at Mighty Mustard® have been eager to share their great product with farmer-veterans for almost half a year now,” said FVC Founder and Director Michael O’Gorman. “Now that we have the funding to start our Fellowship Fund, we are honored at having them make the first ‘in-kind’ donation to the Fund. Our returning warriors deserve a leg up for the years they spent in service of their country and the type of generosity showed them by Mighty Mustard® can be a big help to those starting their careers in farming.”

For Mighty Mustard®, which is grown sustainably in the Northwest by the PNW family of farmers, supporting FVC is a natural fit.

“It is an honor and a privilege to work with our military veterans and FVC. We truly appreciate the service they continue to provide to our country, and look forward to helping FVC train a new generation of farmers who are dedicated to sustainable and organic agriculture,” said Kim Davidson, president of Mighty Mustard’s® parent company, Davidson Commodities, Inc.

As supporters of the Farmer-Veteran Coalition’s Fellowship Fund, Mighty Mustard® will donate its non-GMO cover crop seed to veterans participating in FVC.

The Farmer-Veteran Fellowship Fund intends to raise and distribute donations, both monetary and  in-kind contributions, of materials such as seed, fertilizers, irrigation equipment, new and used farm equipment, and breeding stock for animal production to both disabled and able-bodied veterans. This support will have a transformative impact on the onset of their careers.

Parties interested in providing support to the fellowship or general support to FVC can e-mail info@farmvetco.org or call (530)-756-1395.
